Day 148 – May 6, 2011

This morning, I was craving Mexican pastries so MF & I made a trip down to the Mexican bakery.

*drool*

At lunch time, I went to meet up with my friend SK at the House of Blues.

SK was in town for the day. Since I had a late breakfast (mmmm pastries), we just went to Starbucks to get some drinks. After chatting for a drink, we went to run a couple of errands — he needed to go make a deposit and pay his cell phone bill.

Shortly after I got home, I saw this..

Turns out it wasn't the kitty love we thought it was... it was more motherly LOL

Poor little Tomasa.. there was no milk that was going to come out of that nipple!! I laughed and laughed and laughed and eventually she stopped.

The kitties were just hanging out looking sad... as though they knew what was going on

I felt so bad separating them but I was under strict orders not to bring home the tiny little kitty 😦

In the afternoon, it was time to drive back to Austin! I put the cats in their carriers, loaded the cats, and finally loaded the kitties. It wasn’t too bad of a drive.. except Eddie wasn’t very still for a lot of the drive.

Such a curious little one!

The drive was pretty uneventful otherwise.. and after 22.5 days of being away from Austin, I was home 😀

Day 142 – April 30, 2011

The alarm went off at 4:30 am. and I had to get up and shower… however, the water boiler is broken and won’t be fixed until later today.. so I went to boil some water. I got to the airport and the lady who checked me in [I can’t check myself in while traveling with Dusty] didn’t even weigh my bags!! I am thinking it’s because I’ve paid to travel with a pet and for a second bag [Air Canada doesn’t charge you for the first bag]. However, she said that my flight wasn’t until 8:40, not at 7:40 like I originally thought. An extra hour to spare at the airport..yay! I then realized I had left the Nintendo 3DS on the kitchen counter. D’OH!!!

As I was already awake and hungry, I went to Tim Hortons to get some food.

I gotta get rid of all of this Canadian change!!

Luckily, I had enough change so I didn’t have to use my debit card to pay for my egg sandwich with ham {it was a lot like an Egg McMuffin} combo with a tea. I sat down and ate… man the line grew way long while I was sitting there. After breakfast, I picked up a couple of magazines and a bottle of water, then went to the gate. The flight was on time and I slept for more than half of it.

Once we got to Houston, Dusty and I waited for our ride.

He was actually people watching and not hiding!!

After arriving at MF’s house, AF + kids arrived. We ordered pizza for lunch, and A played Just Dance 2 while AF & I chatted and looked at the magazines. We mostly just hung out that night… we did go to Fiesta to get some junk food at a stand… the diablito snow cones, corn in a cup, chips with salsa, and this frozen mango treat.

Oof.. so full but it was soooo good 😀

Day 73 – February 20, 2011

Today, I woke up, talked to you for a bit, then went back to sleep.. I got a pedicure as payment for work yesterday 😀 Now I can wear open toe shoes now that it’s warmed up 😀

We decided against going to get tamales and CO, MF, and I went downtown to Discovery Green (a park downtown)

After we saw everything, we went for lunch at McD’s then we went back to their place and I packed up and left.

I got home and started unpacking, finished cleaning the kitchen, and I organized some receipts, bills, and finally watched “Easy A”… surprisingly, I also wasn’t too impressed by it. It was cute though.

Tomorrow, some people are off.. it’s also a holiday in Ontario (Family Day). I wish I were off… not ready for the weekend to be over already 😦

Day 72 – February 19, 2011

This morning, we were able to find the kitties behind the bed. They’re less than 2 weeks old!

Once MF & AF finished work, they came by and we rushed over to Zumba! MF was helping the instructor

After our workout… we went for lunch — Vietnamese sandwiches!!

After lunch, AF + A went home and then MF, H, and I went out to AF’s place, but we got there before she did as AF went a different way and got stuck in traffic. MF did my nails while we waited and then MF made some leaf art.

Leaf art.. yeah we were bored.

Once we got in, AF showed us her sad little aloe vera plant.. it froze a couple of weeks ago.

We looked around the town but we didn’t find much.. AF found an “F” keychain she liked for 25 cents and got it. We went back to AF’s where MF & I took short naps and then we left H there to spend the night, and MF & I went to work for a bit. After work, we went to grab dinner.. the tacos we’d been craving for a while..

Then we went to see the house that MF, CO, and H will be moving into next week. Then we went back to her place.

Oof.. we crammed so much stuff into one day! I’m exhausted!! Hopefully I’ll be able to sleep in tomorrow 😀

Day 71 – February 18, 2011

Today after work, I headed to Houston. On my way there, I saw the full moon rise! It was huge and orange and I tried to take photos but they didn’t turn out 😦

Once I got to MF’s place, I barely had time to get changed and I didn’t even put make-up on but we ran out the door to meet up with one of her friends + daughter at Taco Cabana then we decided to go dancing

Day 10 – December 19, 2010

Day 2 in Houston visiting my cousins… the plan du jour was to go get some tamales since the preggo was craving them hehe.

After that, we hung out at MF’s place for a little chit chat and around 2:30, I drove home.
Around 7ish, I went to EE’s for dinner and a movie! We had ribs, baked beans, and some crescent rolls and we watched “Star Trek”

The ribs were a little spicy!

I forgot how yummy these were until we had them at your mom's during Thanksgiving!
