Day 137 – April 25, 2011

Happy 9th work anniversary to me!!

Unfortunately for me, I still wasn’t feeling well so I stayed home. I slept a ton and I woke up and someone decided he needed to use a pillow as well…

Brat cat

In the afternoon, my mom called me from work [she had gone to work as she felt fine once we got home last night] and told me that I needed to start moving so I’d feel better.  She suggested I go grocery shopping with my sister.

My sister's bags don't match the store!

We walked around for quite some time… she couldn’t decide on what she wanted and then she’d decide on things and go back for them… Eventually we finished and went to check out.

The only things I consumed today

My sister's purchases...

You may not notice it, but there’s some  Laughing Cow cheese (known as La Vache Qui Rit in Canada) on the belt. It’s quite a shocker for my sister to be buying because she’s been grossed out of it by years.. ever since she got sick from eating the cheese dippers. The reason she bought it was so she could have it on some toast with smoked salmon.

Anyway, we went home and my sister left shortly thereafter… she had to put her groceries away. I watched TV and then got ready for work tomorrow.. I’ll be going back to the office.

Day 135 – April 23, 2011

After showering, dressing, and generally getting ready, my sister and I went downstairs to grab breakfast… the parents were already down there. It was a nice surprise that the hotel had more than a continental breakfast. The weather was rather crappy and rainy so we decided to go to the Burlington Mall first, then Target & TJ Maxx, then back to the Wrentham Outlet mall so my sister could finish shopping and my dad could return a shirt.

Yesterday, I was fine at the mall yesterday, but driving up I-95 past my old exit was overwhelming. I can say with certainty that I still hate Boston.

At Burlington Mall, my goal was to purchase items for our vacation. My sister and I spent some time at Forever 21 and I got a solid brown maxi dress and some earrings. I didn’t find anything at Lululemon (I wanted to get some crops but they only had solid black ones), and we went to Everything But Water where I got a couple of bathing suits. It wasn’t as tough as I thought it was going to be.. but it was all due to my personal shopper.

Next, we headed back down I-95 to Plainville/Wrentham and it was still raining…

You can't really tell but it was raining

We spent quite some time at TJ Maxx first (I didn’t buy anything) and we sent my dad off to Target while my mom & sis continued at TJ Maxx. I don’t remember what they purchased (if anything). At Target, my sister and I got the same nail polish (lol I know you care baby); it’s such a pretty colour 😀

Cute as a button

Back at Wrentham, my sister went through pretty much all the stores, and I got a couple of books.. these will be a surprise! Then our time was up and we were trying to get back on time. My dad misunderstood what time we were supposed to meet at and was upset that we were an hour late (we were 20 minutes late and I had tried calling him).

We went back to the hotel, then ordered food and picked it up. We also packed up our stuff and got ready to go back tomorrow. All the stores are closed, so we will go see my good friend AH and then we’ll be on our way home.

Day 134 – April 22, 2011

Today is a statutory holiday in Canada so I am the only one having to take a vacation day. I woke up to Dusty kneading me; I looked at the clock and it was almost 4am… we were supposed to be on the road at 3am. It turned out, only my sister set her alarm and she had set it for 2pm instead of 2am. We scrambled around and got ready to go.

Printing out the hotel confirmation and Buster watching intently

On our way to Boston (after the 2 hour wait at the border so I could get my passport stamped), we had to keep ourselves entertained.. I chatted with you for a bit and my sis mostly slept, especially as a co-pilot… but she was awake enough to try out the 3DS.

she liked it.. but playing w/the 3DS plus being in a moving car was not a good combination for her

Once we got to the Boston area, we went straight too the mall.

On their way to shop

We shopped until the mall closed (I got a dress and a pair of shoes), then we went to check into the hotel. We were pretty exhausted and fell asleep before 11. More shopping tomorrow!

Day 83 – March 2nd, 2011

This morning, I went for a walk/jog before work. Later on, I went to the Apple store to have someone look at the Macbook to see if it’s the NVIDIA video card problem.  Whenever I walk in there, it makes me wish I were a millionaire…

Ahhhh.. such a sweet setup

It also made me wish I were more organized

After I got the wonderful news that it was still under warranty and they would be fixing it, I went to pick up some DVDs from work and shipping materials to ship to my boss. He’s the one that’s going to be doing the video. Then I headed home. The cats were being lazy as usual…

He's still loving the snuggie plus a little sunshine

The sunset was beautiful (and more colourful)

In the evening, I finally remembered to synchronize my heart rate monitor watch with the online system (hadn’t done that in a while). I usually do it at work because it has to be on a Windows machine and I only use the Windows laptop for work. When it’s synchronizing, the watch makes a noise kind of like a modem. Someone came running over to see what was making the noise…

Intently watching

Dusty hasn’t been doing anything too exciting… his eyes are looking better. Perhaps his allergies have subdued! Poor kitty. I still harass him with hugs tho 😀

We’re almost half way there.. and we’re definitely getting closer to the weekend 😀

Day 77 – February 24, 2011

Happy Mexican Flag day!

Today, the day started off really cloudy. I was going to to go the gym at noon, but it was raining plus I lost track of time and before I knew it, I was late for class. I decided to go for another walk with EE after work, but before that, I decided to stop by Target.

It didn’t look as though it had been cloudy for the past couple of days!

I just had to pick a couple of things — cheese and toilet paper 😉 I did see a couple of things I’m going to get for your next package but I was in a rush and didn’t pick up anything. They’re going to have groceries at that Target so it was under construction and I couldn’t find anything. I had to settle for quesadilla cheese.

EE, K, and I went for our walk and K picked up a cardboard strip and wore it as a belt

Fashion forward

The sunset was beautiful 🙂

Of course... the photo colours were desaturated -- there was more pink

I sure hope tomorrow’s better w/the video.

Day 53 – January 31st, 2011

Today, it was back to work. Yay!! 😉

I went to the Post Office to drop off your package 😀

And off the little box went...

After work, I went to the gym and warmed up around the lake–had to take advantage of the weather before it gets ugly! I also attended Pump class.

Ready for a workout!

I needed groceries, so I grabbed a smoothie and headed to the grocery store!

Mmmm HEB donuts! Didn't get any though

POOP!! Yay for grade 3 humour! It's really not poop.. it's peanut butter 😀

Tomorrow, it’s going to get really cold!

Day 51 – January 29, 2011

Today, we officially celebrated AB’s birthday  even though her actual birthday was on Tuesday. I went shopping for a shirt and a belt buckle. I found the shirt on sale at Old Navy, but I didn’t find a belt buckle to my liking.

I did find these awesome belts though 😉 Too bad they were out of my price range

I went to EE’s house to finish getting ready…

Ready to go!

WT's friend "librarian", "gay d-bag", "chick w/boob job", umm AL didn't dress up... and the "farmer"

The group shot that Josh ruined!!

It was a lot of fun… missed you though.

Day 39 – January 17, 2011

Today was one busy day for a day off!

I went to WW first thing in the morning, then I went grocery shopping at a different H-E-B that I hadn’t been to yet.

I thought about buying some butternut squash, but I decided against it since I haven't tried cooking the acorn squash yet

I saw some tortillas being made! Hadn’t seen that at a HEB before!

Made me crave warm tortillas.. *drool*

I didn’t buy any of those nice warm tortillas.. instead I bought some low-carb whole wheat ones.

I knew I had my 1:1 on Tuesday morning, so I figured I should download the videos before my boss asked…

Anticipating Tuesday's 1:1

After days of rain and cloudy weather, the sun came out! I was so stoked.. it was so warm. I let Dusty go out on the balcony and enjoy the sunshine.

Clear skies

I made dinner and lunch for tomorrow, watched more Psych, then I went to bed…

Day 36 – January 14, 2011

Today, I tried to sleep in, but I didn’t sleep past 9am. I wasn’t sure what time I was going to meet up with MB & ML to go shopping. I ordered room service again, but this time, I only got the smoked salmon bagel. I checked out of my room and went home to drop off all my stuff. Around 1pm, I got back to the hotel to pick up the girls and we went to the San Marcos outlet. We shopped, took a break for lunch, and shopped some more. We got back to the hotel around 8pm. I only got one thing — a Coach bag — hell has officially frozen over! I never thought I’d get one. The price wasn’t bad…

The back of the bag

I turned over the bag and of course someone was curious

Bag - front... Nosey kitty!

Home sweet home.. glad to be back 😀

Day 20 – December 29, 2010

Just in case you were wondering, there are still lines outside of Lululemon in the Greater Toronto Area.

3 days after Boxing day and the lines are still there.. (Lululemon @ Square One)

Today, after going shopping for some cute rings with my parents (and not getting anything), we decided to get lunch at the Mississauga Chinese Centre.

Mississauga Chinese Centre - entrance

Mississauga Chinese Centre - fountain - yes it is always grey

We had Chinese (Hong Kong style) – fried rice and sweet & sour pork and sushi! I keep forgetting to take photos of the food.. nonetheless, it was delicious!! We had sushi leftover.

My mom in her parka walking back to the car

This is the last day… and I have packing and work to do. Yay!!
